SEA Focal Point Publications

  1. SEA Regulations S.L. 549.61: An Overview
    A practical overview prepared by the SEA Focal Point to assist Responsible Authorities in understanding their duties under the SEA Regulations, including screening, consultation, assessment procedures, monitoring and communication with the Competent Authority.
  2. Strategic Environmental Assessment Presentation
    An introductory presentation on Strategic Environmental Assessment, including the purpose of SEA, its legal framework, the distinction between SEA and EIA, and the main roles of Responsible Authorities, Designated Authorities and the SEA
    Focal Point.
  3. SEA Screening Template
    A practical screening tool developed by the SEA Focal Point to assist Responsible Authorities in determining whether a Plan or Programme falls within the scope of the SEA Regulations and whether a Strategic Environmental Assessment is required. The template guides users through the screening criteria, likely significance of environmental effects, and screening outcome.
